Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the incidence of cases and deaths from Covid-19 among pregnant women and socioeconomic, demographic and vaccination indicators in Brazil. This is an analytical ecological study and the unit of analysis will be Brazil. Data related to population, age, race, literacy and Gini index will be obtained from the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) website; and on the electronic platform of the Ministry of Health, Covid-19 in Brazil, data will be collected regarding the incidence and mortality of the disease among pregnant women, from March 2020 to December 2023. The independent variables will be population, age, race, literacy, index Gini and vaccination status; and the dependent variables, incidence and mortality from Covid-19 in pregnant women. Initially, the data will be analyzed using descriptive statistics. Subsequently, the Odds Ratio (OD) will be calculated and the R Program will be used. This research does not require consideration by the Research Ethics Committee.
