Abstract

This project is integrated to the Direct Doctoral Research, financed by FAPESP (Process nº 2023/09163-1), entitled "Hydrogeomorphological risk mapping at municipal scale: methodological proposals from analysis to synthesis and from recognition to detail of modeled phenomena". In order to carry it out with quality, this work plan of 3 (three) months is proposed at the Universidad Nacional del Sur, located in Bahía Blanca - Argentina, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jorge Gentili. The objectives of this research internship are: (a) to deepen theoretical-methodological knowledge related to climate studies and hydrogeomorphological risks; b) to perform an analysis of precipitation data, which are made available by the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) and the Climate Hazards Center (CHC), considering different time scales (decades, annual, seasonal, monthly, daily and hourly) in the period from 1981 to 2023, in order to understand the dynamics of precipitation in the study area and to discern the degree of correlation between precipitation and hydrogeomorphological risks. Subsequently, climate graphs and maps will be generated. These will serve as the basis for integration with other mappings, through Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (AMD) combined with Hierarchical Process Analysis (AHP) upon return to Brazil, allowing the generation of the final synthesis map of Hydrogeomorphological Risks, with a final result of a hydrogeomorphological risk map.
