Abstract This request pertains to the activities to be carried out in the city of Lyon, France, during the months of January, February, and March 2024, as part of the Foreign Research Internship Grant (BEPE) by researcher Pedro Falha Saraiva, under the supervision of research faculty Christian Montés. Given the dual nationality (Brazil and France) of the project that originated this research, there is an intention to conduct a territorial analysis of Lyon, like what was done in the first 12 months of this study. This involves an analysis of databases made available by public entities in the French city, as well as other records that can help define and produce mappings related to Lyon's contemporary verticalization and transformation process. The data collection and production process aim to understand how the global neoliberalism scenario does or does not produce similar urbanization processes, even in such distinct contexts, through an analysis of Lyon, much like what has been done with São Paulo. To achieve this, we will start with the database initially compiled by the Highrise project in its French segment, which includes a census completed in 2018. This database comprises 97 buildings, with 10 already constructed, 52 under construction, and 34 approved for construction between 2015 and 2020. The intention is to use this foundation, along with other relevant sources, to analyze the transformation process of the city. This will involve fieldwork activities and the creation of maps and narratives that synthesize the process. | |
