Abstract

This project aims to use the organic solid residues of the coffee chain for its biotransformation using Brazilian microorganisms. This biotransformation will allow the group to prepare metallic nanoparticles that will be fixed in biochar produced also from solid residues of coffee bean processing. The impact of deep eutectic mixtures will also be investigated in order to increase the bioavailability of nutrients by the bioproduct to the soil. The results obtained in this proposal may contribute to the understanding of the impact of this new technology of agricultural additives on crops of economic and social relevance, as well as elucidate biological processes of lignocellulosic waste transformation. If successful, the results of this proposal could also be directly used in agricultural crops, thus being able to optimize land use, in addition to promoting the circular economy through the use of waste from the coffee chain, for the production of new sustainable additives from economic and environmental points of view.
