Abstract

Investigating the application of insulators in the luminescent dosimetry area involves exploring minerals using techniques such as Thermoluminescence (TL) and Optically StimulatedLuminescence (OSL). Among these minerals, feldspar - a group of aluminosilicate materials (MTO8, M = Ca, Na, K~ T = Al, Si), stands out for its potential application in the dosimetry and datation area. However, many mechanisms remain unknown or challenging to model. To study the recombination processes and trap lifetime, time-resolved OSL (TR-OSL) becomes crucial. This project aims to study of TR-OSL in amazonite crystals from Brazil, given their potential applications in retrospective dosimetry and dating. The Physics Research Division of Denmark Technical University (DTU) will support thisinvestigation.
