Abstract

System of Computer Aided Diagnosis based on medical images perform computational techniques to process images and extract information from them, in order to provide a second opinion to the healthcare professional. Aiming to develop and validate these systems, a vast and organized set of images must be available. This project aims to model, implement and validate a database capable of persisting cardiac MRI scans with Information Visualization features, in order to support the development of a system to aid in the diagnosis of cardiomyopathies. The main methodological phases are: literature review, definition and implementation of computational techniques and validation of results with users. The main expected results are a structured and implemented database, as well as a visualization interface that makes it possible to understand its content from different points of view selected by the user.
