Abstract

In the aircraft industry, decision-making plays a critical role, directly affecting the efficiency and safety of operations. Given the intrinsic complexity of this sector, it is essential to adopt advanced approaches to evaluate alternatives and select solutions that consider several criteria and objectives simultaneously. In this context, multi-criteria decision support techniques have emerged as valuable tools. The aim of this scientific initiation project is to deepen understanding and apply multicriteria techniques to specific problems in aeronautical engineering. To achieve this goal, the project will follow the following steps: carry out a comprehensive literature review that addresses multicriteria techniques and their applications in the context of the aeronautical industry; selection of one or more multicriteria techniques for implementation and; illustrative application in a relevant problem in the aeronautical sector. The development of this project aims to improve knowledge about the decision-making process in the aeronautical industry, promoting the effective use of multi-criteria techniques and contributing to the continuous improvement of performance in the sector.
