Abstract

Despite the importance of Arachis hypogaea L. in sugarcane crop rotation and its tolerance to the herbicide tebuthiuron, there are few reports on the interaction of the molecule with the plant and different inputs in association with the soil. Therefore, the aim of this proposal is to evaluate the phytoremediation potential of peanuts in soil containing tebuthiuron and thiamethoxam associated with the presence of biofertilizers. The experimental design will be entirely randomized according to the absence or presence of tebuthiuron, thiamethoxam, and vinasse or commercial biofertilizer. Thus, 12 treatments with six replications will be carried out at five evaluation times: 14, 21, 28, 35 and 42 days after sowing. Plant development will be assessed by: relative chlorophyll index; phytotoxicity; collar diameter; height; root length; number of nodules; and fresh and dry biomass of the area and root parts and of the nodules. Ecotoxicity bioassays and the quantification of residual pesticide concentrations will determine the environmental impact on soil samples. At the same time, respirometric tests will monitor soil microbial respiration in natural attenuation. In addition, a stage abroad is planned to detail the physiological responses of peanuts in terms of oxidative metabolism and photosynthetic parameters. Finally, mathematical models will be adapted to the different conditions. In this way, the originality of the research is endorsed by the innovative approach and multidisciplinary evaluation with the aim of expanding the frontiers of knowledge and possibly developing sustainable biotechnological tools.
