Abstract

This postdoctoral project aims to consolidate results related to determining patterns of customary conditions and abnormal conditions (withdamages and failures) of the electrical submerged pumping (ESP) process using availablesignals recorded in the production operation. This analysis and consolidation aim to generate aset of recommendations for diagnosing and monitoring the process.Operating data can have recording problems such as time segments where data has not beenstored, loss of information from specific sensors for a particular time, significant measurementuncertainties, and other aspects. This variability requires a critical analysis of factors that caneffectively be considered relevant in detecting damage and failures, false alarms, or evenconditions of high variability that are not harmful to the process. The diagnosis analysis will use the signals' characteristics in both the time domain and thefrequency domain.
