Abstract

The Scientific Research project is part of the interdisciplinary, extension, and research project "Eyes on the Future" Sustainability as a promoter of decent work and childhood and youth, which has been developed since 2019 by 8 teaching units at UNICAMP (http://www.campus-sustentavel.unicamp.br/olhos-no-futuro/). The Institute of Geosciences has been one of the units involved that has been leading the RECICLAMENTE research since the beginning of these activities.ReciclaMente aims to formulate teaching and learning actions and methodologies for the implementation of SDG 12 - Sustainable Production and Consumption. Its main objective is to promote environmental awareness among elementary school students about alternatives to production methods, decent work, and the importance of proper waste treatment and disposal, through a practice of emancipatory and critical Environmental Education, necessarily approaching the local reality of the school and the students' community, and seeking to contribute to "Ensure sustainable production and consumption patterns" (SDG 12).
