Abstract

This research project aims to analyze the knowledge regimes, learning processes and technical practice of arts and artifact creation among the indigenous peoples of the Uac'a Indigenous Land, located in the lower Oiapoque region, state of Amapa, Brazil. Focusing on the Galibi-Marworno, Karipuna and Palikur peoples. The aim is to understand how these people integrate and reformulate their knowledge in the production of artifacts for domestic use and commercialization, as well as the learning processes involved. Furthermore, the interactions of these communities with the non- indigenous world and the challenges related to access to technology, such as electricity and the internet, are examined. The research adopts a methodological approach that combines operational chain analysis to understand artifact production techniques, with participatory methods that involve members of indigenous communities in all stages of the research process. This includes promoting intergenerational dialogue and training indigenous youth, aiming to strengthen community ties and preserve traditional knowledge. (AU)
