Abstract

In this project we develop tools to achieve entanglement tomography in largequantum systems, using a matrix product state (MPS) formalism. The platformwe will focus on is atoms inside optical tweezers where the local addressability isfeasible with high fidelity. We will also investigate how to prepare multipartiteentangled states outside the symmetric subspace, which can be used for multiparameter estimation. To evaluate the fidelity of the approximated MPS states, wewill monitor the entanglement entropy, comparing it to entanglement witnesses,such as spin squeezing inequalities and multiparameter estimation methods. Thisproject is thus at the frontier of two large areas of quantum physics, ranging fromquantum information to light-atom interaction theory.
