Abstract Erosion is a phenomenon discussed worldwide due to its great capacity for soil degradation, with emphasis on the areas of the globe subject to tropical climates and human action through livestock farming. Therefore, this work aims to analyze, using very high resolution images collected by an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), how much vegetation cover and land use act in boosting gully erosion slopes. To this end, a gully area was selected in the county of Analândia (SP) in the sector of the Alta Bacia do Córrego Santa Terezinha, a tributary of the Corumbataí River, which is positioned in the eastern part of the Paraná Sedimentary Basin, more specifically in the contact between the São Paulo Peripheral Depression and the Basalt Cuestas. This is a sector that presents an interesting peculiarity, as part of the erosion system is in a pasture area and part in a reforestation area. To achieve the proposed objective, maps will be prepared analyzing the slope and accumulated flow, based on the digital elevation model. A classification of land use and coverage will also be developed, aiming to relate this product with the dynamization of the erosive slope. | |
