Abstract

Inclusive education establishes that all people, regardless of their differences, needs, abilities or individual characteristics, have equal opportunities to learn and actively participate in society. This involves both students who do not have special educational needs and those who do. In this context, the present study aims to characterize and understand resources and difficulties in the school inclusion of students in the Brazilian and Portuguese scenarios through the perception of Regular Education teachers. The project is part of a larger study developed in partnership with researchers from Brazil (USP-RP) and Portugal (University of Porto). This is a qualitative study that will use interviews carried out in both contexts with teachers of students undergoing school inclusion. The interviews will be transcribed by the graduate student and later analyzed with the help of the Iramuteq software and the Content Analysis technique. It is hoped that with this study the concepts of Inclusive Education in different contexts will be understood, in order to raise resources and difficulties in both countries, in order to build a cross-cultural parallel, pointing out a theoretical deepening of the phenomenon studied and presenting results that they enable scientifically relevant discoveries, especially in the search for evidence-based interventions.
