Abstract

Climate change and anthropogenic impacts, such as pollution of water resources, irregular waste disposal and intensive exploitation of resources, are increasingly affecting coastal ecosystems, including macroalgae such as those of the genus Bostrychia. These macroalgae, due to their wide variety of associated fauna that inhabit them, can be important indicators of biodiversity loss as they are very sensitive to climate change. It is important to understand and know this fauna so that it can serve as a basis for possible future studies on this loss as a result of human action. Therefore, the objective of this study is to carry out a taxonomic survey of the fauna associated with the "Bostrychietum" communities, in particular from Peracarida, aiming at in-depth knowledge about this very particular environment formed by the macroalgae that make up the "Bostrychietum". Samples will be collected on the rocky shores from the north coast of São Paulo, which will be fixed in 70% alcohol and brought to the UNICAMP Animal Biology laboratory, where they will be screened and identified with the aid of a stereoscopic microscope. Other previously collected samples will also be analyzed, as will be done. a more complete study of the "Bostrychietum" fauna on the north coast of São Paulo. All species of Peracarida (Amphipoda, Isopoda and Tanaidacea) will be identified to the lowest taxonomic level possible, with the help of identification keys and relevant literature. comparative data will be obtained such as abundance, richness, density and diversity of fauna.
