Abstract

Starting from the theme "Art History Books for children", this Scientific Initiation project aims to investigate and reflect on the availability and types of this literature in the municipality of Guarulhos, specifically based on the case of the Monteiro Lobato Public Library, as well as well as the conditions of reading spaces for children.The following proposal is part of a research group called "Art: Contexts and materialities", which aims to analyze an expanded universe of research possibilities in Art History through everyday objects. With this research, we intend to understand, through sampling, the collection, distribution and encouragement of reading Art History books for children in the city of Guarulhos. Furthermore, the quantitative survey of books and their qualitative analysis aim to outline a diagnosis on this topic in the municipality, taking into account the historical, artistic and social aspects that make up the chosen section.Keywords: Books, Art History, Children, Guarulhos, Library.
