Abstract

Scientific dissemination, as a field of knowledge and strategy of action, facilitates and expands the possible dialogues between science and society. To ensure an inclusive and democratic discussion, it is essential to incorporate and engage with various sectors of society in debates related to the production of knowledge and scientific practices. The dialogue between researchers, managers, and society is crucial, especially considering the widespread dissemination of fake news and the growth of an anti-science global movement. Therefore, it is essential to evaluate which scientific data dissemination tools are most suitable for each of the target populations of this project. There is also a need for training journalists specialized in the clear and simple dissemination of scientific information, tailored to the target audience of knowledge dissemination, thereby combating false information.Scientific journalism also assumes great importance when aiming to reduce maternal, fetal, and neonatal mortality, as one of the strategies is to combat the first delay (characterized by the delay of the patient in seeking health services). Accessible dissemination of scientific information can contribute to reducing mortality through the engagement of the entire society, but it is important to conduct continuous analysis of the tools used during the project to find the best communication methods. The breadth of the target audience and the duration of the project allow for the analysis of the performance of communication methods, as well as proposing changes and monitoring. Thus, the result of this study could generate publications and guide more effective ways of disseminating science to society.
