Abstract

This research project aims to understand the concept of teleology in Hegel's Science of Logic. With this scope, we intend to investigate its internal unfolding towards logical life, the immediate form of the idea, through an axis of updating and reconfiguring the internal articulation of the concept. In doing so, we hypothesize that the concept of finality in Hegel possesses a plasticity within his philosophy, bringing with it a unique and transformative potential for the development of categories of thought. This development, in turn, will be analyzed from a perspective whose foundation lies in a substantially teleological activity, in which the path constitutes itself as a becoming that was already inscribed in the horizon of the concept, without the formative movement being confined to deterministic or mechanical principles. It involves examining a category that demonstrates a certain strategic use in Hegel's Science of Logic, as we find in this part of the work an important articulation between the process of the end and the Idea.
