Abstract

This study aims to verify the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic on the biosafety practices of healthcare professionals (which practices and how frequently they were used during the years 2020/2021, the peak period of the pandemic, prior to this period, and how they are being employed currently). This study has ethical approval under protocol 6.644.378. It will be conducted in a tertiary-level public university hospital located in the interior of the state of São Paulo, involving healthcare professionals. Data will be collected during the participants' work activities using a subject characterization instrument and instruments constructed by the researchers after piloting. After the database is compiled, data will be analyzed using the SPSS statistical program, version 29®. Descriptive statistics, paired comparisons of the three time periods, parametric tests, non-parametric tests, and correlation tests will be used depending on the sample analysis. The report will be presented in the form of narrative text, charts, and tables.
