Abstract

The combination of two-dimensional materials and gold nanoparticles enables the formation of nanocomposites with diverse applications. This project foresees the preparation of thin films of WS2/gold nanoparticles, through a novel route, directly in the form of thin films that can be easily deposited on different structures. The influence of different synthesis parameters (ratio between precursors, reaction time, solvents used) will be studied, and the different samples will be characterized by different techniques, evaluating applications as electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reactions (HER) or substrates for SERS.
