Abstract

A research internship abroad is proposed in connection with our study of the Romantic sources of Leo Spitzer. Contact with foreign researchers will be essential to enrich the formulations of this project, since it allows, on the one hand, academic exchange with the supervisor, and his research group, both committed to putting into historical perspective the legacy of 19th-century poetics and literature theory. On the other hand, it will provide an opportunity to present, in the group's seminars, the contribution of Spitzer's readings for analyzing literature. In addition, we seek to have first-hand access to philology journals that contain the bulk of Spitzer's studies, which are not always accessible remotely. This access will benefit not only our study of the Romanist but also the translations we intend to undertake.
