Abstract In this research, we will study the relationship between author and reader developed in Kierkegaard's thought, analyzing how language plays a central role both with regard to the interpretation of the communicated content, which implies the learning of a new language - the Christian - and with regard to the poetic formation of the reader. Along the way, we'll see how Kierkegaard introduces a dialogue with the hermeneutic tradition of German romanticism and, at the same time, it is part of the discussion on the theme of life in Fichte, Jacobi and romanticism.
