Abstract

The interaction of magnetic nanoparticles modified with PDA, (MagNP@PDA), with biomolecules and drugs, is still a little explored field that has been arousing great interest for several applications, including molecular transport and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging. The proposal of this project aims to expand the scope of research by investigating the interaction of MagNP@PDA with biomolecules and drugs through direct interaction, or mediated by metal ions such as Zn(II). The project includes the synthesis of superparamagnetic nanoparticles functionalized with polydopamine and the investigation of the best conditions for the incorporation of drugs and biomolecules, using spectroscopic techniques, light scattering, and dark field microscopy and confocal Raman, existing in the laboratory.
