Abstract

The project aims to perform nuclear cross-section measurements for material analysis applications, with a focus on quantifying the lithium-6 isotope in fusion-related studies. Using the recently improved experimental setup at LAMFI-USP, measurements of elastic scattering and nuclear reactions of protons incident on lithium-6 will be conducted, along with a detailed assessment of experimental uncertainties. This research will contribute to the expansion of international databases, enabling greater accuracy in ion beam techniques applied to the study of material erosion and deposition in fusion reactors. Additionally, the project aims to develop theoretical models to fit the experimental data, ensuring reliability and reproducibility of the results within the framework of international collaborations.
