Abstract

In recent years, a systematic study of reactions involving weakly bound nuclei has been carried out at the Open Laboratory of Nuclear Physics. The main goal of the project is to determine experimentally cross sections for different reaction channels for the 6,7Li + 196Pt systems. Measurements of angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering and transfer of nucleons will be carried out at the Open Laboratory of Nuclear Physics of the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo, in energies around the Coulomb barrier. In addition, we intend to measure fusion cross sections for the reactions mentioned above at the TANDAR Laboratory in Argentina. The determination of different reaction channels represents a great challenge for theoretical models that aim to describe simultaneously different processes, and, therefore, has a fundamental role in understanding the reaction mechanisms associated with nuclear collisions in energies close to the Coulomb barrier. This project is inserted in the context of a thematic project of FAPESP, in which the supervisor of this work participates as a main researcher. (AU)
