Abstract

Reactions involving exotic and stable weakly-bound nuclei have been extensively studied over the last years. Although several models have been successfully used to explain particular reaction outcomes, the answers to many questions remain elusive. To investigate nuclear reaction mechanisms for systems involving weakly-bound projectiles, measurements of angular distributions of elastic and inelastic scattering, as well as nucleon transfer, will be carried out at the Open Laboratory of Nuclear Physics of the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo, at energies around the Coulomb barrier. In addition, fusion cross sections for the 6 Li+ 196 Pt reaction will be experimentally determine at the TANDAR Laboratory in Argentina. The present project is inserted in the context of a FAPESP thematic project, in which the supervisor of this work participates as main researcher. (AU)
