Abstract

This research proposal explores acoustic and elastic metamaterials for wave propagation applications, focusing on hyperbolic and hyperbolic geometry metamaterials. The study integrates topology and hyperbolic geometry expertise, ensuring a robust and interdisciplinary approach. Building on the advancements of the ENVIBRO project on the design of acoustic and elastic metamaterials, this research aims to expand the group's knowledge and foster innovative applications. Disseminating hyperbolic geometry tools could provide novel perspectives on metamaterial design and their associated physical phenomena. This work will investigate topological phenomena associated with hyperbolicity in metastructures to explore new wave propagation phenomena.
