Abstract

The relevance of this study lies in its alignment with some urgent demands within the context of inclusion in higher education for students from the Special Education public. These urgencies refer to the increase in enrollment of students with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and giftedness/talented students in higher education. Considering the need for the provision of quality education for students with disabilities, guaranteed by the Brazilian Federal Constitution and the National Education Guidelines and Framework Law, this study aims to develop digital pedagogical materials for the inclusion of students with disabilities. Despite the growth in the number of available spots in the public education network, the qualitative aspects of education, particularly regarding digital pedagogical materials, as indicated by the specific literature, are still lacking and have not received the necessary focus to keep up with the expansion of available spots (Dall'acqua; Vitaliano, 2010; Ferreira; Ferreira, 2013; Teixeira, 2015; Bernado; Christovão, 2016; Santos; Midlej, 2019; Sousa, 2020; Rocha, 2021). Therefore, considering this reality, the development of digital pedagogical materials for the inclusion of students with disabilities is relevant, in order to guarantee the rights of people with disabilities who are included in Brazilian public universities, as provided by the current legislation in the country.
