Abstract

The present proposal for a Research Internship Abroad (BEPE) aims to continue the study of the relationships between the figurations of the other, domestic space, and the contemporary urban environment through the urban corporeality of fear in post-2000 Argentine cinema. The research is based on a set of data that goes beyond film analysis, holding their historical contexts of production and data related to urbanization processes in Argentina. Thus, in addition to mapping the films, the study will include the collection and analysis of works on contemporary urban transformations and the increase in urban violence and insecurity, as well as those related to the uses of domestic spaces. To achieve this, twelve institutions, including research centers and libraries in Buenos Aires, have been previously selected to meet both the objectives proposed in this project and the requirements of the main research scholarship. In this regard, the BEPE is essential for gathering both filmic and technical documentation, as well as incorporating an updated bibliographic review unavailable in Brazil.
