Abstract

This project refers to a request for a Research Internship Abroad Grant (BEPE) linked to research funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), process No.: 2024/02518-1. This is a study proposal with a view to academic exchange, at the master's level, with a view to being linked to the Institute of Education, at the University of Lisbon in Lisbon, Portugal (PT). The objective is to experience actions with an emphasis on deepening theoretical-methodological references that make it possible to problematize the experiences of teachers who teach Mathematics subjects in Basic Education Degree courses in the post-pandemic period. The intention is to undertake efforts for two months abroad conducting interviews, through Oral History, with teachers who teach Mathematics in two Higher Education Schools (Lisbon and Setúbal). In terms of expected results, it is believed that with this experience we can get closer to the reality of teacher training in the Portuguese context, understand the perspective of teacher trainers in the post-pandemic period, expand discussions in the master's dissertation based on this experience abroad that focuses on Comparative Education (Brazil-Portugal), disseminate learning in extension actions at UFSCar, in the writing and publication of scientific articles in events and journals in the area, in addition to the dialogue with foreign theoretical references that outline processes of teaching Mathematics and mathematical teacher training for work in basic education. The dialogue with Prof. Dr. João Pedro Mendes da Ponte will greatly contribute to the academic training of the proposing researcher and the internationalization of the postgraduate program.
