Abstract

With the advancement of technologies focused on renewable energy, thin film solar cells and perovskite solar cells (PSC) are gaining increasingly space in this sector. The PSCs have stood out due to the notable increase in efficiency over the last few years, combined with the ease of solution deposition. However, there are still stability problems that restrict its use on a large scale.The addition of 2D materials, such as MXenes and TMCCs, to the layers of these cells is a promising approach to improve PSCs. The MXenes are notable for their high electrical conductivity, strength and flexibility, while TMCCs are valued for their optical properties and thermal and chemical stability. In this way, the effects of adding these materials will be evaluated by means of current-voltage measurements, with which it is possible to obtain essential parameters of the solar cells, such as their efficiency. Furthermore, photothermal deflection spectroscopy will also be used to identify defects and improve the performance of PSCs. Therefore, analyzing the impact of these 2D materials on PSCs, in many configurations, will be fundamental to guide research and optimize the application of these materials in photovoltaic technologies.
