Abstract

The proposal we are presenting is part of a post-doctoral internship programme to be carried out from 08/2025 to 03/2026. The post-doctoral project will be carried out at the Graduate Programme in Education at UERJ under the supervision of Professor Walter Omar Kohan. The proposal is organised around studies carried out over the last 15 years on three themes: (1) childhood, (2) the production of images by children and (3) education. The proposal is organised and divided into two parts: a) the first focuses on the study of around 32. 000 images (photos and videos) produced by children between 2009 and 2022. In this study, the proposal is to discuss the ways in which school spaces are occupied, the perspectives on time, the body, child development and the curriculum in Early Childhood Education. In this part, we also indicate that a research support grant from UNESP's Pro-Rectory for Research, awarded to a doctoral student, will contribute to the organisation of this material; b) the second part of this proposal will be concerned with a new data collection with children in Early Childhood Education, which will be carried out in the cities of Piracicaba SP, Duque de Caxias RJ, Rio de Janeiro RJ and Padova Italy.In this way, we propose to continue the work of mapping the images produced by children in Early Childhood Education based on data already produced and also to present a new field of discussion based on new image productions by children. The methodological perspective will be presented as a minority report and will be developed on the basis of the imagery collected from the database produced by the Imago/UNESP Rio Claro Research Group. In order to develop the proposal, we will take as our theoretical reference authors such as Gilles Deleuze, Felix Guattari, Michel Foucault, Rene Scherer, among others.
