Abstract

The master's student will develop a research project aimed at evaluating the usability of assistive mobility technology resources, such as insoles and laser canes, in individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD). To this end, one or two assistive technologies will be developed based on the literature, such as insoles or a laser cane. These products will be tested using biomechanical instruments and ergonomic measurements in people with PD. Through statistical comparisons and performance analysis, the usability of these assistive technologies for mobility in individuals with PD will be determined. The results of this study will be disseminated in the form of scientific articles, the development of assistive mobility technology, presentations at conferences, and the master's thesis.
