Abstract

This master's thesis focuses on the development, application, and analysis of a mathematical self-efficacy instrument among STEM students. The objective is to investigate how confidence in mathematical skills affects comprehension and performance in physics content, especially that covered in General Physics I. The research is based on Bandura's theory of self-efficacy and relies on the validation and application of a questionnaire adapted to the UNICAMP context. The data will be explored through factor analysis and correlation with academic performance. (AU)
