Abstract

The project seeks to the production of lactic acid, starting from isolated microorganisms, mainly the isomeric D (-) and L(+). Fermentations will be accomplished using Subproducts from agro-industry such as: by-products originating from of sugar and alcohol, besides the application of residues yeast hydrolized/autolised and corn steep licor as sources of nitrogen, with the intention of reducing the production costs. The optimization of the variables studied for the obtaining of the maxim production of lactic acid will be accomplished through statistical methodology, second experimental design, analysis of contour and answer surface. After the production extraction studies will be accomplished of the formed lactic acid of the fermentation broth. (AU)
