Abstract

The sustainable development and the conservation of the natural resources are widely spread out subjects in the most diverse levels of the society. However, the hydro resource is threatened by the antropic actions, what the result will be the damage for the proper humanity. The degradation of the majority of the sources, the minor degree of its quality and the reduction of its availability, originated for the no adequate management of the microbasins is aggravated by the a few information that promote a diagnosis of the real condition of those sources. The main objective of this study is to characterize the water of the drainage net of the Stream of the Fazenda Glória watershed, Taquaritinga Municipality, State of São Paulo, Brazil. The physic and chemical parameters of the water in a 1ª order microbasin-unit for the development of the work- with the streams protected by native forest and predominance of agricultural activities will be analyzed. The streams had been selected due to the environmental similarities at the local characteristics, and so, due to the predominance of the land use with native forest, sugar-cane and pastage. The water analyzed will not receive direct influence from another vegetal covering, eliminating the effect on the movement of the nutrients and the quality of the water of another type of land use in the microbasin.
