Abstract

The aim of this project is to develop a research about thermal comfort in transitional areas. The object of study are the buildings of UNIMEP - the Methodist University of Piracicaba, at the campus Santa Barbara. The methodology for this development is based on field studies, with characterization of the area, measurement of environmental parameters and questionnaires among the students about their thermal sensation, indoor, outdoor and in the transitional areas. The clothing and activities of the individuals will also be observed. Comfort index - the PMV - will be calculated for the analysis of the results.
