Abstract

Making a bibliographic uplift about the studies of urban area of the region of Ourinhos, we realized a remarkable scarcity about works in this area. It’s for this and another reasons that we resolved an study over the sociospatial formation and urban expansion in the municipality of Ourinhos/SP. Based on the category of social and spatial formation (allied with other concepts) we analyzed, mainly, the process of production and reproduction, by the imobiliary agents, of the urban area of this municipal and the influences suffered by this process trough the action of external social and economical dynamics. Our principal focus embraced the expansion of urban area and the spatial interactions between these areas. The final result is the first work of municipal formation and expansion of the biggest urban area of the region of government that Ourinhos belongs to.
