Abstract

Intends to evaluate the chemical composition, the digestibility and the fermentation of organic matter of grass Xaraes (Brachiaria brizantha cv. Xaraes) managed to forage on offers 4, 7, 10 and 13% of animal body weight through the technique of gas production in vitro.The experiment will be divided in two stages, the first one, of collection of samples of the grass Xaraes in the Sector and, a second corresponding stage to the analyses and in vitro gas production. In the production of gas in vitro, consisting of 2 periods of fermentation, 3 bottles will be incubated by sample in the times 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72 and 96 hours of incubation for reading the pressure gas production, pH, concentration of nitrogen amoniacal and short chain fatty acids (AGCC), and more 2 bottles by sample will be incubated in the time 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, 24, 36, 48 to determinate the DM, OM and NDF residual for the calculationof digestibility. The experimental delineation will be subdivided into plots having in the plots the treatments (four forage on offers) and as repeated measure will be used four cycles of grazing.
