Abstract

This research intends to analyze the Politics of Education of youngsters and adults (EJA), implemented by the current Municipal Government of the São Paulo city.A research will be carried on the three alternatives of courses offered for the Municipal Government in this modality of Education: the courses offered in the Integrated Centers of Education of youngsters and adults (CIEJA), the courses offered through the of Alphabetization Movement(MOVA) and the the modalities courses knowledged as “presential supletive”, offered in the Municipal Schools of Basic Education (EMEFs) aimed to understand how the Municipal Public Government ministers the demand for EJA, that is admittedly significant in the city of São Paulo and represents an important social problem in the quarrel about educational public politics. It is intended to analyze the three educational proposals in this aspects pedagogical and administrative using three approaches. In the research of Educational statistical data and other secondary data will be considered the statistical data referring to the potential demand for levels of this modality of education in the region, school evasion, approval and failure. In the documental research, will be raised data about elaboration and implementation of these proposals in the City Department of Education and the professionals who had participated of this process. The field research will be carried through qualitative methodology, with choice of representative sample of the three types of courses of EJA offered in the Northwest region of the city, with distinction to the pedagogical issues, carried out of interviews with pupils and teachers of the courses.
