Abstract

This project aims at improving the performance of a commercial portable spectrometer with the introduction of a Fabry-Pérot interferometer that, acting as a tunable spectral filter at the input of the spectrometer, will allow resolutions up to 10 pm to be achieved. We also intend to demonstrate the utility of this high resolution spectrometer for the spectroscopic measurements of gaseous samples and fiber Bragg gratings.
