Abstract

Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides is the causative agent of contagious bovine pleuropneumonia (CBPP), the main bacterial infectious disease, characterized by intense sero-fibrinous pleuritis and edema lobes and alveolar tissues of the catle respiratory tract.The diagnosis in herds, by techniques laboratory is very important, since it is a zoonosis and is not always the carrier animal shows clinical signs. Will be done a harvest of the tracheal lavage, isolation in culture and detection by PCR of Mycoplasma mycoides subsp. mycoides in healthy cattle (carriers) and catle with pneumonia in the region of Pirassununga in São Paulo.
