Abstract

In this thesis, we present a contribution to the area of linear sampled-data dynamical systems, regarding both analysis and synthesis of controllers and filters. The first part of the text introduces the reader to the main concepts and results that are exploited in the following part; namely, we state classical results on LTI systems and on sampled-data systems, moving, then, our attention to the analysis of hybrid systems. Such study is focused on stability and H2 and Hoo norms. The second part of the text includes the design of optimal sampled-data controllers and filters. Academic examples validate the developed theory (AU)
