Abstract

How to construct the poetical and operational spaces of musical creation related to other practices and means of artistic expression such as dance, video and performing arts? Starting from this question, in this work I investigate the interrelationships between body, image and sound in contexts in which musical creation is connected to other media and artistic practices. Therefore, it is necessary to understand these contexts by identifying the interaction of elements that compose it, and afterwards then the poetical and operational spaces in which the artists act. I propose two main complementary approaches. Firstly, I present relations among the poetical and operational spaces of three artists: Georges Aperghis, Thierry De Mey and Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker. The second approach has a self-reflective character, addressing the artistic question pointed out by developing artistic works in collaboration with others artists. Finally, we also present interviews of the artists analyzed and an artistic portfolio with the artistic production developed during this research (AU)
