Abstract

This work intends analyze the IBOPE Group's action, the largest market research company and organizational intelligence in Latin America that since its founding, in 1942, has been expanded dramatically thru the country. We understand that the IBOPE Group, through its topology, conforms a space of information flows that creates and integrates a network Latin American of strategic information. We know that in the capitalism whose technical-scientific-informational environment commands, the information ascended as a key-variable essential to the capitalist accumulation and we believe that this company, from the control, collection, treatment and distribution of strategic information, especially in large cities, has in his hands one of the main assets of power in the contemporary world, because it is this information that will command the capital agents, the State and big corporations, to think about the planning for the big companies and the capital expansion. The indiscriminate actions of large corporations that have political support from governments have resulted in the production of an increasingly corporate metropolis and an urban space increasingly alienated by the power of money, forming enclaves in the city where the differences grows, because hegemonic logical coexist with the local logical (AU)
