Abstract

The present work has as an initial premise the approach of the performing action from a complex perspective, evidencing it as a result of a series of transient corporeal states that have their genesis in the complex interweaving between the biological and anatomo-physiological systems. It is configured as a basis for the unfolding of these notions, the experiments with the Vocal Dance, work of performing creation that has been developed by the North American performer Patricia Bardi since the 1970s. As the multidisciplinary reference framework that subsidizes the discussions raised throughout the work, it is approached the general notions of method, complexity and system in the philosophy of Edgar Morin. From the intersection between these incursions and the warm of the artistic praxis, the performing creation starts to be understood as the cultivation, articulation and transubstantiation of the vital potencies of the performer into temporary and contextual poetic textures, which are constituted as the reflex from the act of being alive (AU)
