Abstract

This research proposed to develop an Online Drawing Education Plan using Information and Communication Digital Technologies based on the "virtual togetherness" approach ("estar junto virtual", in Brazil), which includes a high level of interaction between the teacher and the learner. The research sought to investigate, more specifically, the possibilities for the application of an online drawing course within this approach, bearing in mind the particularities in drawing, in teaching drawing and in online teaching. Besides this investigation, we have tried to propose a change for the teaching of drawing, which often includes methods such as tutorial systems that expect students to copy their teachers and follow proportion standards, none of which stimulate the development of the individual¿s perception and expression. The initial assumption was that there are particularities in drawing and in its teaching that may hinder the online practice in the "virtual togetherness" approach, for example, the importance of combining the technique with the art and with the Information and Communication Digital Technologies. Thus, considering such hypothesis, we have tried to understand, in practice, how online teaching and the technological resources restrict the teaching of drawing in the face of its particularities regarding production, reproduction, submission, receipt and evaluation. Furthermore, we also have tried to understand how the "virtual togetherness" may be present in the online drawing teaching, taking into consideration the interaction between the teacher and the student, as well as the education and development of a thoughtful and expressive individual. Therefore, the research involved a brief online drawing course for a group of six students within the Moodle platform, so that the technologies employed and the course development could be reviewed, aiming to identify the possibilities and limitations of such practice. The results have shown that it is possible to provide an online drawing course, but its major limitation was regarding the platform, and, as a consequence, that did not favour the interaction between the teacher and the students during the drawing process, and that seemed to be the major particularity of this kind of teaching. Nevertheless, we could use the results to think about some readjustments and possibilities for future development (AU)
