Abstract

This dissertation as the main theme, a training in health and spirituality in nursing and medicine courses in Brazilian public universities. This is a recent and constantly growing phenomenon that has manifested itself through different training spaces. Empirical attention is focused on academic leagues of different courses in health and medical associations, which have been working towards the incorporation of spirituality in the curricula and in the professional approach. From analyzing the emergence, form of organization, justifications, and proposals of these spaces, it was identified that, although topics related to religion are addressed, training in health and spirituality has just appeared in a secularized way. Through fieldwork carried out in digital contexts, in-depth interviews and readings of scientific productions of the analyzed groups, we seek to understand changes and updates in the understanding of health and disease, as well as proposals for approaching spirituality by nursing and of medicine (AU)
