Abstract

The perivascular adipose tissue (PVAT) plays an important endocrine and paracrine function and aerobic exercise directly interferes with the secretory pattern of this tissue. Pro-inflammatory factors secreted by PVAT associated with oxidative stress contribute to the development of cardiovascular complications in obesity. The mechanisms responsible for PVAT dysfunction in obesity are still not fully elucidated; in fact, studies were mainly carried in male. The present study aimed to investigate the effects of aerobic exercise training on inflammatory and oxidative stress biomarkers of PVAT in obese female mice. Female mice C57BL6/JUnib (4-5 weeks) were divided into (CEUA/UNICAMP: 5849-1/2021): sedentary (SD), trained (TR), obese sedentary (OB/SD), and obese trained (OB/TR)...
