Graduated with BS in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (1983), MA in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) [Sp-Capital] from the University of São Paulo (1986), PhD in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry) [Sp-Capital] University São Paulo (1992) and post-doctoral at the University of Southampton (UK) (1995-1996). He is currently a Professor in the Institute of Chemistry of the University of São Paulo.
